The real estate offer at the upper-Italian lakes, particularly however at the Ortasee, is limited.
The offer consists usually of houses and mansions from 16. to 19. Century, renovation-needy rustic style houses and and offers from the second hand.
New buildings and properties at preferential locations with sea-view, or directly at the lake, are only few available and much desired.
More than at the other lakes, the municipalities at the Orta lake, to it paid attention to retain the original rustic character.
Already years ago laws were issued to it contributed that in the sea-zone not or only with restrictions under adherence to the landscape protection "belle arte" to be built or rebuilt was allowed. In the direct sea-zone it's forbidden to provide new buildings.In the places at the lake can you rebuild only existing buildings.
